Hey guys,
Sorry its been a while since my last post, I have been ridiulously busy over the past month with Thanksgiving, exams, and the like. I'm ure you guys are probably even more busy than me (I sure don't miss college apps!) BUT...something sweet happened the other day that I think is really typical of a lot of people at Vandy. I was talking to a friend who goes to another college but lives in the same town as me (yeah, clearwater!) and I was talking about how I'd be getting back to Clearwater on the 21st, and then I added that I'd be coming "home" on January 8th. I never really realized it but this place ingrains itself in you and you really do come to view it as home. I think that its a quality that is somewhat unique to Vanderbilt, which is a result of our perfect size because you can really get to know people really well really quickly. If I all ready feel like Vandy is "my home" I can hardly wait for the next 3.5 years!
On that last idea, it's awesome to realize that I have 3 more days of class until my first semester of college is done! It's been an awesome ride, and I'm so excited for any of you who will eventually decide to attend, because it's a decision you won't regret. As finals roll around, I find myself getting even closer to people than I was before; that feeling is definitely not found everywhere. Around finals time a lot of schools tend to get really cut-throat and edgy...NOT HERE! Everybody realizes that they're in it together and we are all just there to help each other out...so awesome!
I hope none of y'all are getting too stressed about college apps and stuff; one piece of advice, be yourself in your applications and things WILL work out for the best. Good luck with your finals and I hope all of you guys have a sweet holiday! I'll try to post one more time before I head home :)
